The poster for the 2026 Arbury Carnival has been chosen. It's been a marvellous time, with entries from young people at the North Cambridge Academy, The Castle School, Cambridge Regional College and Chesterton Community College.
We were very happy to see so many local educational establishments involved, and that the Cambridge Regional College hosted the exhibition of Carnival posters.

The artwork chosen as the official 2026 Arbury Carnival poster is by Shruti, of North Cambridge Academy. Congratulations to her!
We join the Arbury Carnival Committee in thanking the Pipasha Restaurant for sponsoring the event, and Councillor Jenny Gawthorpe Wood who presented the awards.
We also thank the Committee and all Carnival helpers for their excellent work, not only in bringing us the Arbury Carnival, but also in showcasing the artistic talents of local young people, and Stephen and Eddie for keeping us in touch.
Shruti with Councillor Jenny Gawthorpe Wood at the Arbury Carnival Poster Exhibition at CRC.The Arbury Carnival is forty-nine years old this year, an event which sprang, and still springs, from the community for the community. The district, from the Arbury iron age camp, the Roman sites and farms in the old Arbury Meadows and the land adjacent, to the vibrant 21st Century community of the present, unites us in a yearly day of fun and togetherness.
Arbury Town Park in Campkin Road is, as always, the location, with a procession across the old Manor Farm and Arbury fields, now home to so many people.
The Arbury Archive is having its yearly whip-round, and so far has raised over £1,200 for the Carnival. Many thanks to our band of Arbury and ex-Arbury folks and friends of Arbury for contributing so generously. The Arbury Carnival has set-up a GoFundMe - it's here. Please donate if you can. As we mentioned before, the Carnival is approaching its half-century in 2027, and is very special indeed.
